My name is Tessa Goodwin, and I currently reside on the beautiful island of Oahu. I am overly obsessed with this island, and fall more and more in love with it every-stinkin-day. I found myself here after I graduated from Cal Poly, hoping to pursue my career in marine biology. But here I am, almost three years later with a new found passion for nutrition and ready to take a dive into the world of food, health, nutrition… and more food.
I first and foremost am a follower of Jesus. I am a sinner in deep need of a savior, and I am thankful every day that by his grace I was saved, forgiven, & deeply loved. I am also an adventurer. I love exploring his creation and being outside, in nature–hiking, running, hammock-ing, exploring, or swimming in the crystal clear waters here in Hawaii. I run a small coffee shop here on the island that serves local, organic, fresh ingredients & offers a space for locals and tourists alike to come and relax by the waters and enjoy Hawaiian hospitality and delicious, healthy food. When I’m not slayin coffee or galavanting around the island, I am a part time model & you can find me playing dress-up in fancy clothes & pretending to be a high-class fashion chick. If you know me, you know how humorous that is. I’m loud and weird, and you will most commonly find me making strange faces and inventing new, silly words. And of course, as we all know, I’m a fervent fanatic of all things food, health, & fitness.

I love food. Cooking it, eating it, and talking about it. I have struggled for a long time with digestive problems and have gotten little to no answers as to why they are occurring. I made the switch to a healthy, REAL food diet about 6 years ago to aid my digestive problems, and it has changed my life for the better! I am passionate about teaching others how to do this as well, and what a transformative process it can be in your life. Those who know me know I am obsessed with healthy foods & am passionate about fueling my body with whole, REAL, unprocessed foods. I am a firm believer that being healthy is not about dieting, not about depraving yourself of the foods you love, and not about counting calories. Being healthy is about listening to your body, and filling it with nourishment & clean foods. Here on this blog, you will find my tips & tricks to living a healthy lifestyle–easy, simple recipes to fuel and nourish your body. I know most people believe eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle is too time consuming, too costly, or too restrictive. But I am here to prove that wrong. Yes, this may be just another food blog. But I like to believe it’s more than that. I hope it is an invitation to embrace the healthy side of life, and teach you that being healthy and being happy can actually go hand in hand. So join me on this journey.
